A hardware reverse engineering teardown of the BD Alaris 8015 infusion pump. We identified the major on-board silicon, used GTRI X-ray imaging and continuity tracing to locate and verify the JTAG debug interface at the internal J1 connector, and constructed a custom harness from a salvaged board-to-board connector. With that harness we halted the Intel PXA270 main processor at its reset vector using a Segger J-Link Pro driven by OpenOCD.
